N3twork has released a new update for its match-3 franchise game, Funko Pop! Blitz, which partners up with Sanrio’s Hello Kitty Kaiju collection. This weeklong event lasts from today until 12th May.

The characters that appear in this event consist of different Hello Kitty Kaiju; a mix of cute characters and frightening monsters. They include Hello Kitty (Sky), Hello Kitty (Mecha), Hello Kitty (Sea), Hello Kitty (Land) and Hello Kitty (Space).

This will be the first Sanrio-themed event to occur in Funko Pop! Blitz, with more happening later this year. During these dates you can log into the game and begin collecting the new characters that will be available for the entire duration of the event.

During this event, Hello Kitty’s iconic red bow will appear during every match on the board. Your goal is to drop it to the bottom of the board by matching the Pops and collecting the characters that are revealed from it, allowing you to obtain the special event exclusive Hello Kitty (Space).

Keep an eye out for more Sanrio-themed collaborations in Funko Pop! Blitz throughout the year if you’re a fan of that franchise.

If you’re unaware of what Funko Pop! Blitz is, it’s a match-3 game that features iconic characters from different media franchises. Past collaborations have included Parks and Recreation, The Office, Shrek, The Breakfast Club, How to Train Your Dragon, and Battlestar Galactica.

Funko Pop! Blitz is available now from the iOS App Store and the Google Play for Android store, where it is a free to play game with adverts and in-app purchases.
