Square Enix’s Outriders will be playable on mobile through Google Stadia

Square Enix has announced its upcoming co-operative third-person shooter Outriders will be releasing on Google Stadia simultaneously with other platforms on 1st April, 2021.

Outriders is being published by Square Enix External Studios, the AAA studio behind many popular IPs of the last decade including Just Cause, Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy, and developed by People Can Fly, a Polish studio that worked with Epic Games on several projects including Gears of War Judgement and Bulletstorm.

The game is due to be released on 1st April this year alongside its launch on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.

Outriders on Google Stadia will include the exclusive Stream Connect feature, which allows you to view your friends’ gameplay through a picture-in-picture overlay in real time.

“We’re excited to team with Google to bring Outriders to Stadia with Stadia exclusive features and the highest levels of performance, allowing players to get the best experience on all supported devices” said Jon Brooke from Square Enix External Studios.
