Blind Drive is an upcoming arcade game for iOS and Android where you'll weave through traffic blindfolded

Blind Drive is an upcoming arcade title from Lo-Fi People that's heading for iOS, Android and Steam on March 10th. The developers describe it as a comedy-thriller driving game where you'll be weaving through traffic blindfolded, relying on your hearing, instincts and reflexes to get by.

In Blind Drive, you will take on the role of a kidnapped drive who has, as previously mentioned, been blindfolded, chained to your steering wheel before being ordered to drive by an unknown voice on the other end of a phone who claims to have taken your grandma hostage.

It all sounds a little serious but Lo-Fi People insist that the game is a B-movie style crime caper with plenty of laughs to be had along the way. The story itself is fully-voice acted and the developers even claim that it's perfectly possible to complete the game with your eyes closed.

This is because, though there are minimalistic (and occasionally trippy) visuals present, the audio of Blind Drive is the real focus here. Lo-Fi People has attempted to create hyper-realistic sounds that allow you to make use of the two-button control scheme to weave your way through traffic using audio alone.

There are 28 levels to make your way through that include boss fights, mobsters, dolphins and your angry grandmother. It all sounds very intriguing and if you're interested in trying the game ahead of release, you can download a demo from Steam today that has been released as part of the Steam Games Festival.

Blind Drive is set to arrive on the App Store, Google Play and Steam on March 10th. There are currently no details on pricing but we'll be sure to keep you updated as and when we learn more.
