Bart Bonte's green is the latest entry in his masterful puzzle game series

Master of the mobile puzzler Bart Bonte has now launched the latest game in his acclaimed colour series. green (yes, lower case) follows on from yellow, red, black, and blue in delivering stylish, minimalist puzzle game perfection.

As was the case with its predecessors, green requires you to make your entire screen one flat colour by solving all manner of inventive conundrums.

They're some of the only puzzle games that I'm compelled to play from start to finish in one single sitting, what with their great sense of pacing, gradually escalating challenge, and helpful hint system for when/if it all becomes a bit too much.

blue made it into my top five favourite mobile games of 2020 list. Here's what I said: "blue exudes well-placed confidence at every turn, from the stylish intro sequence right up to the challenging finale. Even as its puzzles become increasingly complex, the chilled vibe helps bring you down and keep you focused. It's the work of an assured creative working at what has to be the top of his game. Just brilliant, beautifully crafted stuff".

Though, to be honest, all of what I've said there rings true for every game in the series, and I'm hopeful that green can continue that trend. Based on what I've played of it so far, it shows no signs of dipping in quality.

If you'd like to give green a go yourself, you'll find it available for download now as a free-to-play title from both the App Store and Google Play. Those yet to play any of Bonte's games should get on it straight away.
