Caitlin and Reuinclus have made their way into Pokemon Masters as a new Sync Pair you'll be able to obtain through the Sync Pair Scout. Their arrival coincides with new story missions about the duo and now you'll also be able to evolve Brendan's Treecko following yesterdays mix-up.

Caitlin originally appeared in Pokemon Black and White as a member of the Elite Four. Accompanying her is Reuniclus, that psychic type Pokemon that's based on cells. Their Spotlight Scout, which gives you an increased chance of obtaining the pair, will be available until the 14th November.

They're a 5-star Sync Pair and Reuniclus will take on the role of a Special Strike battler. She also comes with some useful moves that make her a formidable fighter all by herself. She has a move called Don't Bore Me that will raise her special attack and special defence. Additionally, she has another called Move Gauge Boost which refills that meter by three blocks.

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of Caitlin's addition to the game though is that the co-op challenges and advanced story missions will allow you to earn tickets. This isn't uncommon obviously but you will be able to exchange them in the shop for 3,4 and 5-star power-ups which can be used to increase a Sync Pair's star rating. Which means, with a little grinding I can make my Chandelure the 5-star Pokemon she deserves to be.

There are also around 1500 gems on offer if you're willing to repeatedly complete the various areas to fulfil the mission criteria. For instance, you'll need to complete Take Down Caitlin: Round 2 (Hard) 30 times, which is a lot, to net yourself 300 gems for the effort.

Pokemon Masters is available now through the App Store and Google Play. It's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
