Check out 7 whole minutes of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate action in this new video

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s release date is creeping ever closer. To help us prepare for the big day, Nintendo’s gone and released a seven-minute long video giving us a detailed overview of the game. It might not be as good as playing the game itself, but it should be enough to hold you over until December.

The fast-paced footage is narrated by The Announcer, and gives us a look at how the game will play in both TV and handheld modes, as well as an up-close look of each fighter in action. You’ll notice each character comes with fun little throwbacks to their original games, and the stages are full of clever little details.

We previewed Super Smash Bros. Ultimate this past summer and were pleased to see that it’s shaping up to be perhaps one of the best in the series. We’ll find out for sure when the game launches on Nintendo Switch on December 7.
