Apple unveiled the all new iPad Pro today at a keynote event in Brooklyn, just two short months after the iPhone XS was announced. The iPad Pro has gotten a huge update, with new features that suggests Apple hopes the iPad can serve as a true alternative to laptops.

The iPad Pro is going buttonless, allowing the device’s generous edge to edge 11 or 12.9-inch display (a Liquid Retina display like the iPhone XR) to truly shine. Users will now use swiping gestures to return to previous pages rather than relying on the home button.

Apple’s newest tablet relies on a A12X Bionic chip to handle all of its processing power. The iPad Pro boasts plenty of processing power for the most demanding mobile games, and then some.

The Apple Pencil got a bit of a makeover, too. The Pencil now connects to the iPad magnetically for safe keeping when its not in use and to charge it. The iPad Pro itself also ships with Face ID and USB-C support. The gadget can connect to monitors, and it’ll even let you charge your iPhone.

The iPad Pro is available to pre-order now, and launches on November 7—the 11-inch model will run you £769, while the 12.9-inch version starts at £969.
