Knotmania is a gross game of untying snake-like strings heading to iOS this autumn
Fear factor
Knotmania looks both great and gross to me. It'll be out on iOS this autumn.
It looks great as it's about untying knots and makes good use of the touch controls. The gross part is due to the strings you untie coming to life when you touch them to resemble tentacles or snakes.
The game has 55 rooms containing each of the procedurally generated knots. You have a time limit to free the sentient strings and get a better score for doing so in as few swipes as possible.
It should be worth replaying levels to beat your score too. As not only are the strings procedurally generated but they react differently to your touch each time.
To encourage competition, Knotmania will have Game Center leaderboards divided into Score, Levels, and Golden Tangle.
We'll let you know when Knotmania will be available to buy later this year. Until then, check out the footage of the game in action above as well as its website.
