The correct reaction to Hyper Square upon playing it for the first time is "Aghhhh". Yup, it lives up to its name.
The game starts with minimal instruction and gets you right into the fumbling.
Your task here is simple: put the squares into the hollow ones before the time runs out.
The first level involves dragging or flicking the squares into the holes. You'll have eight phases, each made up of multiple stages, and you will need to devote all of your attention to the screen.
If you do well, you'll gain enough experience to unlock the next set of levels. That's how it goes.
Dragging squares of different sizes into their corresponding holes is easy. Hyper Square doesn't really get going, though, until you're pinching to resize, spinning your fingers to rotate the squares.
I have to admit it's a blast to play, especially if you're fond of fast action and testing your reactions.
You'll be able to purchase Hyper Square for iOS from the UK and US App Stores at midnight for £1.49 / $1.99.
It should also be available on Android and Windows Phone either tomorrow or soon after.
