Try and survive the end of the world for as long as you can in Nachobeard's Hookball for iPad
Arma-geddon out of here
How long do you think you'd survive during the Mayan apocalypse?
That's the question behind Hookball, a new arcade game for iPad from Guatemalan developer Nachobeard.
With Nachobeard's influences ranging from classic iOS blaster Ziggurat to Super Smash Bros., the game itself is all about swinging between enemies and smashing their faces in.
You tap to drag yourself towards a foe, then either tap again to suck it inside you or swipe to hurl out of the field of play.
Every throw scatters the creatures inside you, letting you collect more time-extending cogs.
Once the apocalypse clock runs down, it's Game Over. Of course, you might plummet to your death in a river of lava before that happens, mind.
To celebrate the game's launch, Nachobeard has made Hookball free on the App Store right now. So, that's a big chunk of apocalyptic arcade high score-chasing action for nothing at all.
If you're smart, you'll head on over to the App Store and grab Hookball right this second.
Go on - you've clearly got nothing better to do.
