JAM: Jets Aliens Missiles
By Forest Moon Games - download for iPhone and iPad

JAM: Jets Aliens Missiles is an old skool shmup that's packed with five different stages (that can be played on three difficulty levels) and contains hand-drawn 3D graphics.

There is a variety of enemies to defeat and huge bosses to overcome, but you have plenty of powerful weapons at your disposal, so they shouldn't give you a hard time.

If you are having trouble, Recharging shields and Shockwave bombs should help you out a little.

Qvoid
By Gavina Games - download for iPhone and iPad

Qvoid is an interesting and rather difficult puzzle game. In it, you have to take control of a white cube and move around a board picking up colours and storing them on your sides.

Basically, you have to mix and match these colours to solve 96 different puzzles.

As you play, you earn stars based on the amount of steps you take to complete each puzzle. You can also rack up Game Center achievements along the way.
