Complex Games is planning on bigger, better graphics with Battle Bears Royale, the sequel to the Unity-based hit Battle Bears. However, this time the iPhone 3G isn't invited to the party. Only 3GS and higher will be supported.

As Complex Games revealed at Thursday's Unite 11 conference, dropping the lower-powered devices freed it up to push Battle Bears Royale technically. The Team Fortress-inspired deathmatches will have bigger characters, fancy particle effects, and other graphic touches missing in the original game.

The team expects smoother visuals, too. On the iPad and iPhone 4, Battle Bears Royale has around 5 more frames per second.

Battle Bears Royale will be out this fall.
