Level-5's football-cum-RPG Inazuma Eleven for DS has finally been granted a UK release date - it'll come running out of the British tunnel on August 26th.

In Inazuma Eleven, you play Mark Evans, a teenage goalkeeper assembling a squad capable of winning an upcoming football tournament. The game boasts over 1000 players, so you might have your scouting work cut out for you.

Gameplay takes the form of 11-a-side matches, but there's also a 4-on-4 challenge mode in which you aim to hit certain targets, like possession.

Multiplayer support includes local wi-fi, and you'll also be able to grab up to 50 additional players via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

Inazuma Eleven is already available on Nintendo DS throughout Europe and Japan, and will hit the back of the UK net at the end of next month.
