The winning applications from the bada Developer Challenge have been announced on the bada developer website.

Applications from each category were judged on a range of criteria, including Uniqueness and Functionality, with the best three apps in each category winning prizes of $100,000, $60,000 and $40,000.

The overall winner of the competition Little Sailor has been awarded a prize of $300,000, and the coveted title of bada Champion.

A 3D sailing simulator from developer Maciej Komosinski, Little Sailor teaches you the basics of sailing a one-man boat, before pitting you against three competitors in a series of races.

Also among the winners is the widely-acclaimed fiendish puzzle game Slice It!, which won a coveted Pocket Gamer Bronze Award when we reviewed it on the iPhone.

All of the winning apps are available as a free download for one month only. A full list of the winners, along with download links, can be found on the bada developers website.
