Square Enix brings Big Cup Cricket to iPhone

It seems like an odd team-up, but Championship Manager's Beautiful Game Studios and Japanese RPG behemoth Square Enix have joined forces to present Big Cup Cricket, coming soon to iPhone.

It looks like a cartoon take the sport, but the developers assure us that Big Cup Cricket is a fully functional cricketing experience.

The title makes full use of the iPhone's touchscreen, with swipe and flick controls used to determine speed, positioning, and direction of both bat and ball. There are also multiplayer modes and full Game Center support.

“We’re offering fans some great cricketing action with a value-for-money pick up and play game, which is genuinely great fun,” said Beautiful Game's general manager Roy Meredith.

We'll see how right he is when Big Cup Cricket launches later this month.
