Gameloft to announce new Gangstar game later today

Yo homies, get out your diamond encrusted grills and lower your pimp wagon to a suitable height, because Gameloft will be revealing the next Gangstar game later today.

Inspired by Grand Theft Auto, Gangstar: West Coast Hustle brought Rockstar’s eclectic mix of dangerous driving and wanton destruction to iPhone well before Chinatown Wars itself hit the device, and now the developer is keen to take another stab at the formula.

Writing on its official Twitter account, mobile giant Gameloft writes, "Excited about @Gangstar_game reveal tomorrow," while the game’s Twitter feed makes numerous references to the new game; "Gangstar is BACK," "Tomorrow will be gangstar day. Huge announcement is coming," and "Los Angeles is no longer the place to be a Gangstar..."

Pocket Gamer’s elusive Rumour Miner dug up earlier this year news that the game will be called Gangstar: Sin City, and take place in Las Vegas. If we’re on the money, the game will have all the sins of Nevada, including casino games, gambling, and late night dates with lovely lady friends.

We also discovered that, “new missions have you building a casino racket while eliminating rival gangs vying for control of the city. Mexican drug cartels offering goods to visiting partiers have to be dealt with as you grow your criminal empire.”

However, the developer has Tweeted a clue about the game's location, as "M.I.A". That could quite possibly mean Miami International Airport, giving Gangstar a Vice City inspired sequel.

We’ll let you know as soon as the cat is out of the bag. Watch this space
