Traffic management has been a staple of video games since SimCity, but HandyGames's new iPhone title - Car Control - is all about directing 1950s style cars.

Actually, I can't believe there were any traffic jams back then. Surely there weren't enough cars on the road?

Anyhow, in this touch management sim you have to guide the different coloured cars to their correctly coloured targets, avoiding collisions along the way, by changing the junctions. You do this by tracing the junction shape you want over them.

The faster you guide all cars to the exits - and the fewer errors you make - the more points you'll receive at the end of the level.

In total there are 42 levels to work through, although only the first 6 are available for free, while your stress levels should be lowered by the promised 1950s inspired music. Local and international high score lists are supported, too.

You can see how it all plays in the following video.
