Playman Track and Field getting Facebook Connect relaunch, Lite version

Full version to hurdle onto App Store soon

Playman Track and Field getting Facebook Connect relaunch, Lite version

Gone how those wonderful days of thrashing the hell out of two buttons on an arcade cabinet in an effort to make your onscreen athlete run faster. Playman Track and Field on the iPhone uses a far more sophisticated technique to mimic professional athleticism, and proves this is still a sporting genre that translates very nicely to video games.

In an effort to help Playman Track and Field go the distance, RealNetworks is preparing to launch a Lite version featuring the 110 meter hurdles to whip you up into a prerequisite Olympian frenzy.

The Lite version is due as Playman Track and Field prepares to relaunch on the App Store with Facebook Connect embedded, allowing you to post your athletic achievements on the social networking site and challenge friends to a javelin chuck, pole vault, 100 meter dash, long jump and hurdles.

Both the premium Playman Track and Field update and the Lite versions are imminent, so keep a close eye on the App Store.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
