What's Advanced Fuse in Archero 2 and how to use it

If you’ve been grinding your way through Archero 2, then you’ve probably already noticed a ton of new features compared to the OG one. One of the most talked-about mechanics in Archero 2 is Advanced Fuse, and if you’re not sure how it works (or why it matters), don’t worry - I’ve got you covered.

In this guide, we'll dive into what it is, how to unlock it, and the best ways to use it so you’re not wasting hard-earned gear.

What is Advanced Fuse in Archero 2?

In short, this is basically an enhanced upgrading system for your gear. You probably remember the regular “fuse” from the first Archero, where you combine duplicate equipment to get higher rarity. Advanced Fuse takes that concept further, letting you push your items past their usual limits and add even more stats.

Think of it as supercharging your bow, armour, or rings. Instead of stopping at legendary and calling it a day, you can now push your best gear to a whole new level, which makes it stronger.

With this, your gear can now go all the way up to Chaotic. It works like this:

• Epic -> Legendary -> Mythic -> Chaotic

How to unlock Advanced Fuse

The feature isn’t available the moment you start playing. Advanced Fuse will unlock once you clear a few stages.

How to use Advanced Fuse

Using it is simple once you’ve unlocked the menu:

• Open up your Gear (tab) and go to the Blacksmith (top right, under the Runes).
• On the bottom side, select the Advanced Fuse.
• Select your item – ideally something you know you’ll keep for the long run (don’t waste this on gear you normally wouldn't use).
• Add the required duplicates or materials - bear in mind this costs more than regular fusing, so plan ahead.
• Confirm and upgrade - your item's stats will improve, and often gain extra effects like an increased crit rate, defence, or even special passives.

Tips for getting the most out of your new gizmo

Here are a few extra tips to bear in mind if you want to take your gear all the way to Chaotic tier:

• Focus on one build and save all your resources.
• Stick to a main weapon and armour set.
• Save all your materials - Advanced Fuse materials are much rarer than normal ones, so hoard them until you’re sure of the gear you want to upgrade.
• Prioritise weapons! A stronger weapon will have a much bigger effect than slightly better armour.

Why Advanced Fuse Matters

Enemies get harder a lot faster here! The chapters scale faster too, so having solid gear is basically your safety net. It can be the difference between struggling and breezing through a chapter - especially in the late game.
