EA Mobile has revealed that it's publishing the mobile and iPhone versions of Distinctive Developments' Facebook game Anytime Pool - and that they'll be fully connected to the original.

When the new versions are released in March, they'll make it one of the most ambitious cross-platform games yet.

Players will be able to have several multiplayer matches going at once, taking it in turns to take shots - just as in the Facebook version.

Distinctive isn't using the Facebook Connect technology to link the different versions up. Instead, the mobile and iPhone games will connect to the company's own servers, which will match up mobile devices to Facebook accounts.

The Facebook version of Anytime Pool launched in April last year - Pocket Gamer caught onto it early - and at the time Distinctive boss Nigel Little said the ultimate intention was to bring it to mobile too.
