Distinctive Developments launches Facebook pool game

Soon, it'll be easier to make a list of the mobile developers who AREN'T making games for Facebook. Digital Chocolate, RealArcade, I-play, Com2uS... they're all at it!

And they've now been joined by UK developer Distinctive Developments, which has just released a Facebook game called Anytime Pool.

It went live yesterday, and offers UK or US 8-ball, as well as 9-ball pool. And better still, you can play against friends, taking turns (meaning you don't have to be online at the same time - think Scrabulous).

The game offers neat 3D graphics, an easy mouse-controlled aiming system, and tracks your win-loss stats against the world.

We're not sure if it represents a full-scale move into social games, or is an early look at a game that's coming to mobile, or if it's just an experiment. But either way, we thought we'd let you know about it.
