Gorgeous iPhone and iPad reverse tower defence title Anomaly Warzone Earth to be updated with new Squad Assault levels

The rather excellent Pocket Gamer Platinum Award-winning reverse tower defence title Anomaly Warzone Earth is about to be updated with a batch of new content.

In an interview with gaming site Split Kick, developer 11 bit studios confirmed that brand-new levels for Squad Assault mode set in Baghdad is on its way into the game, alongside several mandatory fixes and tweaks.

Further additional downloadable extras, such as concept improvements and new desert-based locations, are also in the works.

Universally speaking

Finally, a look at the developer's blog reveals that the forthcoming update will add Universal support to the HD iPad version of the game, meaning you can play it on your iPhone and iPod touch.

If that wasn't enough Anomaly Warzone Earth news for one day, the game's creator is also considering "brand new ideas and brand new locations" for a possible sequel.

While you wait for more information on that, you can download the iPhone version of Anomaly Warzone Earth for £1.49 / $1.99 or the soon-to-be Universal iPad version for £2.49 / $3.99.
