Aliens Drive Me Crazy's July 30th update will see the game go free to play on iOS forever

Rebel Twins is going to roll out a large update for its planet-defending 2D action-runner Aliens Drive Me Crazy on July 30th.

With this, the game will lose its premium price point on iOS and will become a free to play game going into the future. It's already free to play on Android.

The trailer below details and illustrates what this new update adds in terms of content.

In short: new powerful weapons and vehicles, new localisations and achievements, new "terrifying mega bosses," other new enemies and obstacles, and some bug fixes.

"Our past content updates have focused on making the game more fun and providing a variety of content for players," Rebel Twins told us.

"It is now a much bigger game than it was when it launched a year ago."

Speaking of which, we gave it a Bronze Award at the time, calling it a "good distraction for anyone who's looking for a new infinite runner with a dash of personality."

But the game has seen a lot changes and additions since then so maybe it'll be worth checking out again. Especially as it will be free to download when July 30th rolls around.

You can currently grab Aliens Drive Me Crazy for £1.49 / $1.99 on the App Store. Or you can download it for free on Google Play.
