In case you missed it, A Game About Digging A Hole has officially launched on iOS, tasking you with - you guessed it - digging a hole. There's no particularly clever trick or some form of wordplay here, as the premise is basically what it says on the tin. You dig a hole, and life is good.
Pre-orders opened two weeks ago, but now that it's here, you can finally kickstart your digging journey - and the best part of it all is that you can do so entirely at your own pace. Eventually, you'll come across a variety of trinkets and goodies as you go along, with a couple of secrets you might just uncover the deeper you go. Grab your loot, sell your finds, and upgrade your gear - then go ahead and dig some more.
If you're looking for some kind of twist here, it certainly seems like there is none - you simply go through the core gameplay loop in all its compelling glory, and therein lies its beauty. There's a bit of a mystery to unravel here though - specifically, there's a cheap house you can buy that just so happens to have some hidden treasure in the backyard.
How you deal with that information is entirely up to you - although I suspect you'd want to start digging holes just like I would.
