20 Minutes Till Dawn introduces a brand new character in the latest update

The excellent Vampire Survivors-inspired 20 Minutes Till Dawn, released only very recently, has introduced a brand new update that brings with it some new content and most importantly, an entirely new character to try your hand at. So far, 20 Minutes Till Dawn has been quite consistent with updates, but this is the first content patch, so there’s plenty to be excited about!

In case you aren’t familiar, one of the most recent crazes within the mobile market has been the Vampire Survivors-like genre, featuring the likes of Survivor.io as one of the most prominent faces, but also 20 Minutes Till Dawn itself.

These games feature a nearly endless wave of enemies that swarm the screen until it is basically incomprehensible, and are built around the idea of grabbing items as you kill those enemies that will make your build stronger, allowing you to live longer and do more damage as those enemies get stronger and scarier.

While this formula alone is already excellent, 20 Minutes Till Dawn introduces the concept of having to aim your weapons as if playing a top-down shooter. This is different from the usual Vampire Survivors games, as they usually feature an auto-combat style of gameplay where you’re mostly focused on just walking around and allowing your items to do the work.

And now, with the latest character, Yuki, players have a new way to play the game and build around her ability to shoot a frozen butterfly every 6th shot. This butterfly freezes enemies and deals damage to already frozen enemies. Along with her, there’s also a new visual option for a boss, freshening up the style of the game a bit.

20 Minutes Till Dawn is an excellent little title, especially if you dig this style of game - and with the introduction of a new character, there’s even more to dig into. If you’d like to do so, you can purchase it for $2.99 at either of the links below!
