Pinball specialist Zen Studios has announced that Zen Pinball 2 will soon be available to download for free from Sony's PSN Store for both the PlayStation 3 and - more importantly - the PS Vita.

Furthermore, if you already own Zen Pinball or Marvel Pinball, you'll be able to download this upcoming title as a free upgrade. Your existing tables will be refreshed with updated physics, PSN trophies, and several social features.

Zen Pinball 2 will hit PSN packing 26 unique pinball tables - all of which will feature a free trial. If you take a particular fancy to a table and decide to drop some cash on it, it'll become accessible in both the PS Vita and PS3 versions of the game.

Zen Studios's latest pinball effort will launch alongside Marvel Pinball: Avengers Chronicles, which is a new four-table pack based on Marvel's upcoming The Avengers / Avengers Assemble movie and more.

Zen Pinball 2 will be available to download for free from PSN this spring.
