Why are some cards banned?
The reason why a few of the cards are banned varies, but it mainly depends on the meta. For instance, whenever a new set is out that could have a potentially outstanding synergy with a card, to the extent that it makes the deck downright frustrating to play against, a card could result in getting banned. That is one of the most common reasons for a card ending up banned - others might include the card itself, being too broken, and in some situations that results in a restriction (having a maximum of 1-2 copies per deck). However, if the card is just too powerful regardless, it could get banned.
