Team17 announces Worms Crazy Golf for iOS

Team17 has announced a new title in its wacky blow-'em-up series of Worms games. But it's not what you'd expect.

Worms Crazy Golf - which will be available for PSN, iPhone, iPad, and Valve's Steam - will see you play 18 wacky holes of golf across three unique courses, and attempt "a diverse range of skill-based challenge modes".

“While probably not an obvious combination, Worms Crazy Golf is an irreverent mash-up of our own turn-based strategy game Worms and everyone's favourite turn-based game of hitting little balls with sticks" said Team17's head of design John Dennis

Sheep, old women, moles, mines, and other series regulars will all be making a reappearance.

As you can expect from a game of crazy golf, several obstacles - such as castles that teleport your ball, and cannons that fire it across the game's environments - will ruin your chances of a top handicap.

Multiplayer for up to four budding golfers will also be included.

Worms Crazy Golf is expected to drop "later this year".
