I-play launching Daniel Negreanu poker game

Could it be the most sophisticated one yet?

I-play launching Daniel Negreanu poker game

It's fair to say that mobile is well stocked with poker games. World Series of Poker, World Poker Tour, Midnight Hold'em Poker... the list goes on. Any new title that wants to compete needs to raise the game to avoid being a flop.

I-play reckons it's got what it takes, though. The publisher has signed a deal with poker pro Daniel Negreanu to release a new game. He's one of the most successful (that is, stinking rich) tournament players in the history of poker, y'know.

So how will it compete with its rivals? I-play claims the game's artificial intelligence will be the most sophisticated yet seen in a mobile game, and it reckons the game will pack the best visuals too. Also, virtual Daniel will often pop up during the game to provide analysis and advice, hopefully improving your real-life poker skills.

I-play's announcement makes no mention of multiplayer features, so if that's your bag, you might have to wait for Hands-On Mobile's upcoming World Poker Tour 2. Meanwhile, I-play's as-yet unnamed Daniel Negreanu poker game will be out later this year.

In non-games news, incidentally, I-play will also be producing a bunch of mobile videos with Daniel. They've been shot at the Venetian Hotel & Resort in Las Vegas, and comprise over 100 videos encompassing beginner, intermediate and advanced poker strategy. For more on such non-games mobile content, see our sister site Pocket Picks.
