If you're feeling bummed about the fact that Warhammer Deathwatch isn't available on Android, maybe this will make you feel better: HeroCraft's free to play Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf just hit Google Play.

The game is part turn-based strategy game, and part collectible card battler. You have tight, tactical brawls with your small squad - but your available weapons and moves are based on the cards in your hand.

We liked it on iOS, and said "a tough, violent, strategic card battler, Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf is a sharp-edged love letter to the grim vision of the future".

Space Wold

There's a full story campaign, but also PvP multiplayer. This has a ranking system where battles get tougher (and rewards get better) as you play - but the leaderboards get reset every season to allow for new players to compete.

And in terms of the narrative? You'll obviously command the Space Wolves, as they fight off Word Bearers on planet Kanak, Segmentum Obscurus. Which sounds just lovely, to me.

The game is available to download, for free, here. An internet connection is required to play.
