After a brief spell on the South African App Store, squad-based battler Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf is now available to download, worldwide.

The game is a curious mash-up of a turn-based strategy game and a collectible card battler. You've got cozy squad battles, but your weapons and abilities are dictated by the cards in your deck.

In terms of the story, you'll obviously command the Space Wolves, as they fight off Word Bearers on planet Kanak, Segmentum Obscurus. If those words mean anything to you, congrats, you know much more than me.

Right now there's only a single player campaign, but developer HeroCraft says that PvP multiplayer is coming soon. The game's also coming to Android at some point and we'll give you the heads up when it hits Google Play.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf has got some hefty system requirements, so you'll need a iPad 3 or better, an iPad Mini 2 or newer, or an iPhone 5 or better to play. You'll also need an internet connection.

The game is free to play. Let us know what you think.
