Slitherine is well known on iOS for its hex-based war games. But this Thursday, it will combine that approach with the explosive sci-fi battles of Warhammer 40k.

Originally released on PC last fall, Warhammer 40k: Armageddon thrusts you into a sprawling story-driven campaign against the Ork menace, as you lead Ultramarines, Space Marines, and mechanized support across a variety of terrain ranging from volcanic canyons to dense jungle.

With 300+ units at your disposal, upgradable stats and equipment, and factors such as morale, fog of war, and cover to consider, Warhammer 40k: Armageddon promises a challenging tactical experience.

The game will be available for iPad tomorrow at around midnight.
