- Warframe is now open for Android pre-registration!
- That's alongside a whole host of news about Warframe: 1999 and more
- The return of a prestigious voice actor, a new warframe and even more features.
With the release of Warframe on mobile, developer Digital Extremes seems to have leapt into a new era by introducing a wholly fresh audience to their hit third-person hack 'n slash, shooter. And on top of a whole lot of other news, Android players can now pre-register for Warframe's next stage of release!
Yes, Digital Extremes' latest devstream introduced us to a host of news. Warframe: 1999's upcoming anime short, produced in collaboration with studio The Line [sic] and a new addition to their ongoing ARG with fictional boy band On-Lyne, (the entire ARG was even catalogued by by the developer).
That's on top of even more detailed features and additions coming to Warframe: 1999, like the new Faceoff PvPvE multiplayer mode, the return of Baldur's Gate 3 alumni Neil Newborn to the voice-cast, romances amongst the other members of the Hex in 1999 (ooh, la-la) and more info about the 59th warframe, Cyte-09.

Suffice it to say, Warframe remains one of the most dense and feature-packed releases to come to mobile. Aside from the upcoming debut of 1999, which promises to be a major departure from everything Warframe has had before, there are also the literal years of content that new players have to experience.
1999 itself promises to be a massive new expansion that almost functions as a standalone and a prequel to the entire warframe universe itself. No doubt this glut of news, alongside a booth at the prestigious Tokyo Game Show 2024 earlier this year, will serve to make a major mark when 1999 does release.
