Volume is expanding, and it’s getting VR support as well

Did you play and enjoy Mike Bithell's Robin Hood stealth-em-up Volume? Good news, as he's pumping up the Volume with a story based expansion, and it's in VR.

The expansion, entitled Volume: Coda will bring 30 new story missions that are all playable in VR, with the expansion arriving first on the PlayStation VR headset. The level editor will return, and Bithell says "Level editing in VR is, well, it's awesome."

Coda will take place after the events of Volume, continuing the story with a new cast of actors, and will launch the same day as the PlayStation VR headset. If you own Volume on the PS4 already then you'll be able to access Coda for free upon launch.

The game will see you playing in the office of The Troubleshooter, a legendary problem solver (hence the name, presumably) and taking your actions on a board in the office, controlling your avatar on the board as they stealthily infiltrate environments.

Think of it like Tony Stark running a miniature simulation of a heist and you're most of the way there.

A patch for the base game is also on the way, adding a new checkpoint mode and staff picks of the user generated content.

To celebrate the news, the game is 30% worldwide on the PlayStation store until November 4th.
