Sega's Virtua Tennis Challenge bounces onto the Xperia Play court

As predicted, Virtua Tennis Challenge has arrived on Google Play today, and Xperia Play owners can download the game now for £3.82 / $4.99.

Virtua Tennis Challenge will remain an Xperia Play exclusive for roughly two weeks, after which time it will become available for other Android handsets.

Featuring a World Tour mode, Daily Challenges, Exhibition Matches, and Bluetooth multiplayer, Virtua Tennis Challenge for the Play is a full-featured instalment in Sega's venerable arcade series, which has been serving up smashing tennis action since 1999.

There are 50 players of various styles to compete against; 18 different stadia to perfect your overhead smash in; and four types of surfaces (clay, grass, hard, and indoor) to master.

You can expect a review of Virtua Tennis Challenge up on the site soon, but if you just can't wait that long, you can download it right now from the Google Play Store [buy].
