Futurlabs has explained to Edge why its Pocket Gamer Gold Award-winning PS minis shooter Velocity had to be delayed - and it's not why you think.

Rather than anything about territory rights or other such legal / distribution issues, the reason for the game's mysteriously staggered release was the inclusion of the words 'champagne' and 'drunk' in the backstory.

Unfortunately, this meant the game couldn't get the 3+ / E rating required, and the game missed its PlayStation Plus slot as a result.

Still, it's out now in PS mini form in both in the US and EU, and it is bloomin' marvelous.
