We've just received word that Vector, an arcade-style running game from Nekki that's currently in a closed beta phase on Facebook, is heading to both iOS and Android later this year.

In Vector, you take on the role of an "exceptional free runner" who has to run, vault, slide, and climb in order to escape Big Brother and a totalitarian world where freedom and individuality no longer exist.

"In Vector, we used a number of technologies developed for Shadow Fight. For animation, we used our animation tool, Cascadeur, which allows easy creation of physics-based animations," Dmitry Terekhin, Nekki's founder, said.

"Players find it surprising that we don't use any motion-capture in either Shadow Fight or Vector. It's all animation created in Cascadeur. We plan on continuing to develop Cascadeur and use it to make even more fantastic gameplay."

All three versions of the game (Facebook, iOS, and Android) will feature the same gameplay and experience, so if you already have access to the Facebook beta, you'll know what to expect from the mobile versions.

For those of you who don't have access, Vector will hit iOS in August and Android a month later.
