Valleys Between is a striking puzzler about growing and protecting your own world
Ooo, environmental awareness

New Zealand-based studio Little Lost Fox revealed on Twitter earlier that their stunning mellow puzzler, Valleys Between, will be launching on mobile later this year and it's really something special.
In Valleys Between you'll take hold of your own land, plant your seeds, grow them, protect them, and watch your land flourish and take shape. The power at your fingertips should help you better understand the relationship between us and nature in good and bad ways.Announcing Valleys Between - a game about creating life and balance in a forgotten world. Though it's described as a puzzler, the main thing to look out for is balance. Every action you take has an equal and opposite reaction, so you've got to think carefully to regain your balance after each move. It doesn't seem like it'll be palm-sweatingly challenging however as it's a relaxing game you can dip into for shorter play sessions.
In an interview on VentureBeat, Little Lost Fox producer/game designer Niamh Fitzgerald said, "The idea is you want to grow your world as big as you can. The world moves as you do things to create new spaces that you can interact with. The player can pull up or pull down on the land to create certain interactions, or to create certain relationships, and the idea is you want to continue growing your world as big as you can while managing some of these extra challenges that pop up."
While there's not a whole lot of information or imagery about the game just yet, it's really excited me to think about how it'll play. I love relaxing games but always tend to lose concentration or drive in them, so I'm hoping this'll run along the same thread as Monument Valley - fluid, unapologetic, beautiful, thoughtful, the right kind of challenging, you know the sort.
So far the industry response is extremely positive so this is undoubtedly one to watch.
