From the developer of the Silver Award-winning Jet Car Stunts, True Axis, comes True Skate, due to go live on the App Store on October 18th.

From the gameplay trailer below, we can tell that True Axis is putting the emphasis on realism in its new iPhone and iPad skateboarding sim.

So, expect accurate physics and simple touch controls, but none of the grazed knees and broken elbows associated with the real thing. Thankfully.

True excitement

As well as flicking the board in certain areas to make it react accordingly, you have to drag your finger along the ground to maintain momentum. Assuming the True Skate physics engine is as impressive and robust as it looks, we can't wait to explore the skate parks on offer.

True Skate could be something worth getting excited about, then, and it will be racing onto the App Store on October 18th, priced £1.49 / $1.99.

Oh, and here's that trailer I was telling you about.
