Splinter Cell Conviction sneaks, and then blasts onto iPhone

Ubisoft and Gameloft's latest collaboration has brought international espionage expert Sam Fisher to iPhone in his new adventure, Splinter Cell Conviction.

Not so much of a stealthy, spandex-clad ninja any more, Sam's new gadget load out has his night vision goggles next to an AK47, and his tactical stun grenades squeeze up close to a really big bazooka.

In 11 levels, across eight different locations that span from Malta to the White House, Sam will fight back against his former secret agency to get his daughter back. It follows much of the console game's plot (which was a lot of nonsense really, and you had to punch a woman in the jaw for some reason), but with some iPhone exclusive stages.

It also features the big boy game's mark and execute move, that lets you tag a whole bunch of goons before expertly taking them out in a barrage of bullets. Again, not very sneaky.

Splinter Cell Conviction is out now for iPhone and iPod touch, for £5.99 / $9.99 / €7.99.
