Konami used this year's E3 to shed some light on its forthcoming adventure-cum-puzzler Time Hollow for the DS, with the publisher claiming that it'll successfully merge the two genres in one package.

Time Hollow will follow Ethan Kairos as he comes to terms with the mysterious disappearance of his entire family, in what Konami claims will be a "deep storyline". Setting out to find them, Ethan picks up the "Hollow Pen", which allows him to open up portals to the past, helping him piece together just what is behind their disappearance.

Konami also claims that, along his path, Ethan's will have to solve numerous inventive puzzles to proceed, while the game is also set to feature full animation sequences put together by the anime series Blood+ and Gun x Sword's producer and Gundam SEED's director.

Out in Japan since March, Time Hollow is currently winging its way to the UK in time for a release in the autumn.
