Wouldn't a tilt version of Geometry Wars be brilliant on the iPad?

Maybe we'll have something like that to look forward to soon but in the meantime, on iPhone and iPod touch there's Tilt To Live from One Man Left Studios.

It takes the 2D topdown shoot-'em up genre and gives you a couple of different tilt control options, depending on the orientation with which you're holding your iDevice.

Tilting moves your 'V'-shaped spaceship around, with your goal being to destroy as many of the red dot enemies which follow you around; a collision with one of them being game over.

You destroy them by running over the various power ups that are spawned, with examples including bombs, cluster missiles, and a pulse wave that's emitted from the nose of your craft.

Of course, the game always ends with your ship's destruction. Getting yourself as high as you can on the global leaderboard system - provided by the AGON Online social gaming network - is the real purpose of playing.

Personally, I'm not very good at this sort of thing, as my present score reflects. I'd also like to have a tilt sensitivity option to better control my movements, but Tilt To Live is certainly a nicely presented, and a game I think would look and play great on the iPad.

You can see what it looks like in the following video.
