Out at midnight: Solve a murder mystery in spruced-up The Shivah: Kosher Edition

At midnight tonight, the follow-up to Wadjet Eye Games's Gold Award-winning iOS game Gemini Rue will go live on the UK and US App Stores. Its name? The Shivah: Kosher Edition.

Hopefully, this revamped version of the 2006 point-and-click murder mystery adventure The Shivah will live up to our lofty expectations.

In this spruced-up iOS version of the game, you'll be following struggling NYC rabbi Russell Stone. His life takes a turn for the better, though, when a parcel of money from an ex-member of his congregation arrives in the mail.

Conspiracy theory

Stone's journey begins when he attempts to find the source of the money. By doing so, he stumbles into a murder scene, and its surrounding conspiracy.

In terms of gameplay and story, this new version of The Shivah is identical to the original. Wadjet Eye has just applied some spit and polish to the visuals. Oh, and designed a touchscreen interface for the game.

If you're suitably intrigued by the story of Rabbi Stone, you'll be able to pick up The Shivah: Kosher Edition on the App Store at midnight. It'll be priced £1.49 / $1.99.
