The Norse-inspired point-and-click puzzler, The Frostrune, is releasing early next month
Read the clues, solve the mystery
Cast your minds back to August, ladies and gents, and you might remember a pretty little game called The Frostrune. Well, it's finally coming to mobile and Steam in the next couple of weeks.
Btw, @GrimnirMedia’s The Frostrune is *finally* releasing on February 2 and it’s gotten some really nice improvements since I first played. pic.twitter.com/iHSSr8dlEY — AppUnwrapper.com (@AppUnwrapper) January 25, 2017
After finding yourself shipwrecked on an island, a recently-abandoned settlement shows evidence of panic and fear. The big question is: why? It's up to you to explore the village and the ancient forests to unearth relics, solve puzzles, and discover the mysteries of the island.
The Frostrune is a classic point-and-click puzzler based on Norse culture and mythology. Not only is it visually stunning, but it also had an intriguing narrative - at least from the section I got to play around with last year. Better yet, every element of the game is as authentic and historically accurate as possible.
We don't have long to wait as The Frostrune hits out on mobile and Steam on February 2nd, though we still don't know how much for. While you're waiting, take a look at Grimnir's competition to actually win Tyrving, the official Frostrune sword.
