The Escapists is a charming prison escape RPG coming to iOS and Android this Thursday

First released on PC in 2015, The Escapists is tunneling onto mobile this week, bringing the art of pixel-art prison escapes to iOS and Android on March 2nd.

In each of the game's six different prisons, you have one goal: freedom. Now how you achieve that freedom is your decision, whether it's gathering the tools to dig an escape tunnel or coordinating a takeover. Whatever you choose will require careful planning, crafting items, and interacting with other prisoners and guards each day.

Being a prisoner means putting your plan together under the watchful eyes of patrolling guards, in between roll call and daily assignments. You'll need to learn the routines of each prison, use different jobs to master skills and earn cash, make useful items such as shivs, and maybe even make some allies to help with the escape.

The Escapists will cost £4.99 / $4.99 when it releases Thursday on the App Store and Google Play.
