[Update] The Bug Butcher's alien-blasting action is out now on iOS and Android

Updated on October 20th, at 12:01am: Awfully Nice's upward shooter The Bug Butcher is available on the App Store and Google Play. You can pit your arsenal of weapons, power-ups, and upgrades against hordes of aliens and traps for £2.99 / $3.99.

Almost a year after we first wrote about The Bug Butcher, developer Awfully Nice has revealed that its hectic shooter is coming to iOS and Android later this month.

Inspired by classic NES game Super Pang, The Bug Butcher challenges you to blast away the alien infestation in an overrun research facility as you evade the onslaught of creatures, lasers, and traps.

Power-ups imbue your varied weapons and your hero with special properties, such as freezing enemies or unleashing missiles, to even the odds during even the hardest difficulties.

The Bug Butcher will be a paid game when it releases on iOS and Android devices on the 20th. You can also find the game on Steam.
