The Amazing Spider-Man slings onto Android
What a tangled web we weave
Gameloft released its latest adventure game - The Amazing Spider-Man - onto Google Play today [buy], giving comic book fans the chance to slip into Spidey’s skin on their mobile device of choice.
We had the opportunity to go hands on with The Amazing Spider-Man at E3 and found its wide-open, open-world aesthetic to be a lot of fun.
Having the ability to sling about between buildings and perch on lampposts helps immerse a player in the world of Spider-Man in a way that only a blue-and-red spandex unitard could previously deliver.
With over 25 missions – and a hefty amount of side quests - spread across a fully 3D rendering of New York City, The Amazing Spider-Man has a generous amount of content to offer players.
With great gaming…The Amazing Spider-Man also takes a few pages from Gameloft’s previous Spider-man title Total Mayhem and mixes them with a Batman: Arkham City feel. To wit, players have the ability to unlock and upgrade Spider-Man’s attacks to suit their gameplay styles.
The Amazing Spider-Man is available on Google Play today for £4.99 / $6.99. The open-world action game is also available on the App Store as a universal app for the same price.
