Hello friends, I hope you're ready for another brilliant list of the very best new games out this week. From Persephone and Teslagrad to Cat Lady: The Card Game and Clockwork Damage, there's a huge amount of choice this time around and it's harder than ever to pick what we want to play first.

Lucky for me, this isn't a segment telling you which games to play and in which order – that's for you to decide on. But it's a good mix of genres and prices, with some cracking free to play games on the cards too. Let's take a look at what we've got, eh?

1
Cat Lady: The Card Game

I know what you're thinking: "Emily, I didn't know they made a game about you!" Well, they didn't. Nomad Games made a card game for all the cat ladies out there and it's got a lot going for it. Draw cards, collect toys, costumes, cat nip, and more, and make sure you feed your furry friends. Otherwise your score will suffer as well as your metaphorical armchairs.

Clockwork Damage

If you're after a twin-stick shooter, but don't have cash enough in the bank for the likes of Neon Chrome, Clockwork Damage has you covered. In it, you get to build up your character, use guns and power ups to battle through Victorium, enjoy a bunch of different game modes, and shoot every bad guy that looks at you funny.

Hello Hero

After the original battle for Armon a new group of Heroes must join forces with the old ones, and together take on the dark forces of Keronic. You've got tons of modes and over 100 customisable Heroes to collect, so best put some time aside to dive in.

4
Persephone

Though Persephone's concept may be a touch grim-sounding, the whole point of the game is that death is not the end. You goal is to die, sure, but by doing so you find the solution to each level's puzzle. With 60 on offer, five environments, striking visuals, and a gorgeous soundtrack, it'll be interesting to see how this game handles its subject matter.

5
Spitkiss

You only need a single finger for this platformer as your lovespit your way through a bunch of different organs. Rely on your lightning-fast reactions where you can to get through 80 levels, though there's tons of replayability too, and have fun with super simple controls in this wild love story.

Super Cats

As of today, Supercats is finally out in the world, so you don't have to wait another moment before jumping in and playing through this real-time competitive mobile game with anthropomorphic cats. Each round only plays out at three minutes, meaning it's pretty perfect for lunch breaks, bus trips, or even playing between adverts for your favourite program.

7
Teslagrad

Teslagrad is a neat platform puzzler set in a steampunk version of old Europe where you play as a young boy. Somehow, you end up right in the middle of an ancient conspiracy and, armed with Teslamancer technology which helps you control electromagnetic powers, you'll solve each challenge. Don't forget to enjoy the game's beautiful, hand-drawn graphics as well though.
