Tapulous strikes Tap Tap Revenge deal with Warner Music Group
Tapping a rich vein
Tapulous is no stranger to success, having seen its Tap Tap brand (which includes Revenge, and Radiation) skyrocket - the game has an installed userbase that accounts for 30 per cent of all iPhone and iPod touch owners.
But now the developer has courted the attention of music giant Warner Music Group, which has signed a deal to provide content from its roster.
The deal commits Tapulous to the creation and promotion of four iPhone and iPod touch games over the next year, each of which will focus on a single artist.
The premium titles will feature the act’s greatest hits, bonus remixes, unreleased tracks, and even live recordings (get ready to remember that bum note to achieve the top score...).
On top of this, Tapulous will sell downloads from WMG’s catalogue for both Tap Tap Revenge and Riddim Ribbon, which will be available through a dedicated in-game Warner Music Group Channel.
