Super Smash Bros gets 9 costumes from Earthbound, Tales of Symphonia, and more

Super Smash Bros. has been updated with a bunch of new Mii costumes, adding characters from Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem, and Tales of Symphonia. Plus: new stages and some balance tweaks.

The new stages are both from the Nintendo 64 version of Smash and cost £1.79 a pop. There's Hyrule Castle and Peach's Castle to grab.

KK

The first new character is yours for free. K.K. Slider fights by shooting lasers from his guitar, which is just brilliant. His hat is for anyone, but his body is only for Mii Gunners.

Samus

Yes, Samus is already in the game. But you can now dress up as her, too. The armour is only for Mii Gunners, but her helmet can be worn by anyone. 69p.

Chrom

If you were bummed that Chrom didn't show up in Smash (when a million other Fire Emblem characters did), you can now be slightly less bummed. His wig is for anyone, but his outfit is for Sword Fighters. 69p.

Lloyd

Lloyd Irving is the hero of Tales of Symphonia and, after Pac-Man and the Heihachi costume, only the third Namco character to appear as a fighter. His wig is universal, but his outfight is only for Sword Fighters. 69p.

Black Knight

This bulky armoured dude, Black Knight, appeared in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. His helm is for anyone, but his armour can only be worn by Sword Fighters. 69p.

Flying Men

The Flying Men from Earthbound already have a role in Smash Bros, helping (or hurting) you in the Magicant stage. But now you can fight as one yourself - the body piece is for Brawlers, and his hat is for Mii fighters of all types. 69p.

K Rool

King K. Rool has long been the subject of rumours and speculation about who owns his character - Nintendo or Rare? I guess we now know, as the Kremling ruler is a costume with an outfit for Brawlers and a hat for anyone. 69p.

Bear

A bear that fights shoots you with a pot of honey. Okay. Head for anyone, body for gunners. 69p.

Tracksuit

And finally, a hoodie. Anyone can wear this, and it doesn't come with any headgear. You guessed it: 69p.

You can also get all the costumes in a bundle for £5.52, or all the costumes and the stages for £9.10.
